River Road Renewables was founded in 2005 with a single mission: to revitalize resilient communities through creative land recycling and brownfield redevelopment. We specialize in establishing strategic partnerships to solve complex problems. Properties with substantial environmental liabilities require special expertise and creative thinking. Our projects have resulted in removing hundreds of acres of urban blight, and helped to catalyze thousands of jobs by establishing sound teams and productive public-private partnerships. All avenues need to be explored to establish win-win solutions for a broad variety of stakeholders when persistent real-estate problems challenge communities and organizations. We will carefully evaluate each project in order to adhere to both financial and time constraints. Over the years we’ve become known as a top redeveloper of distressed real estate.

Brad White founded River Road Renewables in 2005 to revitalize distressed assets in resilient communities through creative land recycling and brownfield redevelopment. He has diverse experience driving entrepreneurial change in the environmental industry. He is an expert in all facets of brownfield redevelopment, including transaction negotiations, state/local economic development incentives, quality-of-life amenities, and establishing public private partnerships. He is experienced in all aspects of cradle-to-grave site development and has performed liability transfers and property sales with major development entities and international corporations. He is a prolific former Certified Professional under the Ohio Voluntary Action Program, and has managed the restoration of over 20 Ohio VAP sites for private and public clients. He also has extensive experience in all aspects of environmental permitting and environmental construction. He has implemented over $30M in publicly funded redevelopment projects, several of which involve Ohio’s lakes and rivers. He has a Ph.D. in Geochemistry from UCLA, and prior to becoming an environmental professional, he was on the faculty in the Division of Geological and Planetary Sciences at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, California.
